Letter to Angel

FINDING ANGEL
Inspired by Finding Nemo

Angel, you have been in my life for 2310 days and counting.  Wow!  That hardly seems like enough time for me to know you.  I was inspired by Finding Nemo because I am just like Nemo’s dad.  It’s hard to let go of something so important, especially after I’ve lost so much.  And you, Angel, are so full of energy.  Just like Nemo, you want to do so much with little to nothing, as long as it’s fun.  I want to thank you for being who you are, a blessing to both me and your sisters, as well as any one who has had the opportunity to meet or know you.

Because of you, Bert and Stacey along with Bert’s Big Adventure allowed our family to experience what 5 days in Heaven would be like.  Day by day I’ve learned that it wasn’t Angel that needed to be found, it was me that needed to be found.  And, I found myself by letting you go on this trip.  To Bert, Stacey, Amy and all the staff and families on Bert’s Big Adventure, I have learned that it is your actions that define your character.  It’s not what you say, but what you do that defines you.  And to Angel, I can’t give you happiness, but I can feel it with you.  I can’t take away all your hurts in this world, but I can share them with you.  I can’t give you strength when you need it the most, but can try to be strong for you.

Thank you for this trip and providing me with 13 new families and friends who from this day forward can be there for us, who will go through these times with us.
